ok first off i bought mohaa, which ran fine with my pci graphics card, it crashed a few but hardly at all, i could play it at high texture compression and high res, then i bought the addon expansion pack and i had to lower the specs, ummmmmmmmmm im sorry but why, there both the same engines and personally im sick and tired of spearhead crashing, why is it that you have to buy a 400 dollar graphics card to get outstanding performance, its real stupid, personally im kind of losing intrest in pc games cause i dont have the money to get a 400 dollar graphics card, id rather buy a car. i still think pc games are good and powerful but my god. to buy a graphics card for 400 dollars is nutz, i do not think the new radeon card is worth 400. more like 200
im sick of spearhead crashing on my system, mohaa doesnt do it so why should this do it

Spearhead also crashes like mad on my pc as well. Just still seems to be very buggy and more likely er'll have to wait till ea decides to patch it. :/

First: This should be in General Discussion
Second: Your need to look around. My Ti 4200 runs Spearhead flawless and I got it for $140. 70 fps average with no crashing, except for when my the power goes off.

Oh and BTW, your a moron if you buy a car for $400 happy:

wat are you talking about dude if you have PCI graphics there is NO! 400 dollar card in your book because the best PCI cards are the Geforce 4 mx 420 and maybe some Radeon besides the 7000 |

Upgrading is a way of life for PC Gamers. But you dont have to have the newest fastest gear to run the latest games well. Spearhead runs pretty well on my PC and my vcard is a GeForce3 200 Ti. Not even state of the art when I bought it near the beginning of the year.

You could get a 500 Ti for less than $100 these days. But you will definitely need to have AGP. PCI is what the dinosaurs used, my friend. mwah:

 Just so you know,
PC games are partly made to sell the latest hardware

If PC games don't keep pushing the envelope Microsoft, Video Card makers, and a large group of people arent happy.

The only reason you need a 3000$ computer is for gaming and other (rare) hardware intensive work.

Games have to keep getting more advanced or the hardware, software, and many other industries will collapse.

Anyways, like FlipSide said, you need an upgrade bro. You don't need a Ti4600 or a RADEON 9700. First, get a PC with an AGP slot for video cards, then get something like a Geforce 3 Ti 500, or a RADEON 7500. These cards are well worth their cash, and can run MOH fine. You just might have an outdated/slower system than others, that's all. |
