I guess i'm one of the lucky few here that the demo gave no problems to. I downloaded it fine, installed it fine, and it now runs...well...fine. I am very impressed with this game, and that's just from one multiplayer map, and we can only expect more from the full version. I love the weapons, i love the map, i love the gameplay. I'm not usually a free-for-all deathmatch kinda guy, but this game makes it so damn fun. The sound effects are amazing, it's what i'd expect to here if i were really there. The main menu music shows that the soundtrack for this game is gonna rock, agian, just like the last 2 games. The graphics are great, the character models are awesome, as are the weapon models. The environment included doesn't exactly show off the scope of Mohaa's graphical power, but it still looks good. My only gripes are some lag once in awhile (which i get tons less than what i did on the Wolf mp test demo) and a little imbalance in the weapons (if 2 guys are shooting at each other in a room, one with a m1 garand and the other with a thompson, chances are the guy with a thompson is gonna kill the other) But i am incredibly excited because i now know how truly great mohaa is going to be.

Goods:
Graphics, Animation, sounds

Bads:
Worst lag I've ever seen, horrible level, Weapon balancing, explosion radius of grenades and rockets.

I am sure the single player will be fun, the first time you play it. The multiplayer sucks because of the heavy lag. I have DSL and I con only hold 4-6 player games. People start off with 70 ping and after 10 min their ping ski rockets to 999, and they drop. If they fix the lag and provide some better out doors maps then were talking fun.

Overall I am disappointed so far. I hope they release a second improved demo, because as of right now I am not shelling out money for this game. I already got burnt on RTCW.

From the looks of things H&D2 and BattleField 1942 (BF1942) will be the games to play this year. These two games will have strong single player games with Co-operative play up to 4 players, also a good array of MP games. BF1942 will the most amazing thing anyone has seen because the single player game is not scripted at all. AI controls everything you’ll see in the game. So you can replay the same mission over and over with different event happening. Like you may be stuck in a city like SPR and a squad of mustangs fly by to assist. Next time you play the mustangs may be meet by German fighter and they dogfight overhead as your battle rages below. One time your mustangs may win and then come and assist you with bombing tanks. Another time they may get shot down. Nothing is scripted so it is has very high replay factor. Also since you can have 3 of your buddies join your single player mission via LAN or Internet, you can replay mission over and over and try different tactics. And the MP of BF1942 will be mind blowing. BF1942 will have over 20 different vehicles that you can easily control and use in battle. From B17 bombers that man 3 people, to submarines, Battle ships, Aircraft carriers, fighters, tanks, transport vehicles, AA guns, Rocket trucks. And of course no game would be complete with out the standard list of WW2 weapons. So in this game you get your FPS and much much more. You can be on the front lines ducking it out with your enemy and you can call in air support and the air support is not some scripted airplane flying over. But rather its one of your friends flying by in a mustang, dropping bombs on machinegun nests, strafing the ground and shooting enemy soldiers. You call in naval support and another clan member can bring the battle ship around and fire off 16" shells at the enemy positions.
If you don't like to fly, if you don't want to man vehicles, if you only want a simple FPS were you just have to worry about using your 10 weapons then I guess MOH and RCW will be your game but if desire more from a game. You want o be able to assist your buddies on the ground with air support and with a platoon of tanks, or whatever, then I think you should start looking at BF1942. It will be out around May 2002. And it is published by EA, the same guys that brought you MOH and other great games.

I know, i hear so many ppl complaining about horrible lag. I have cable, i just join server with around a 60 ping and everything runs as smooth as a baby's ass the whole time i'm there. I only experienced bad lag twice in my 20 or so times playing the demo.

What I’ve come to learn for chatting around, it that look at it like this, did any one play the Demo of Operation Flashpoint?

Then did you play the Full Version? Then you would know the full was really 100x better than the demo, and I believe it’s the same in this case.

We know that the map is not good, that does not mean every map is bad, (read a few previews) it’s called bad decision making by EA, we know the Texture quality was turned down to make for a smaller download.

So I say wait for the full, it will be great!

It does have Omaha, Iwojima, and other famous battles. But true we won't know for sure how good it will be until we actually play it.

As far as weapon balancing goes I was talking about how I have to empty a magazine of my machinegun to kill some one but the sniper can kill some one with one shot regardless of were they shootem. At least thats been my experience and maybe it is partialy due to lag. Also the grenades and the rockets explosion radius is screwed up. many times i am right next to the grenade and its explosion does almost no damage to me. were as other times I am like 20 feet from it and it kills me. The rockets damage radius is way too small.

My computer specs are Athlon 500, 256RAM, Geforce 2 Pro. All my other games run fine and MOH runs ok wne I host but when I join servers it is really bad.

k yeha true wiht the grenades and rockets, but u have to remember that the smgs have recoil so yur prob not actually hittin him , u have to use burst fire, if uve played counter-strike u might know what im talkin about and ive used the sniper rifle and it seems to only kill the guy if u hit him in the body or head, the arms and legs dont actually seem to work at all, i stood in a corner attemptin to shoot a guys arm when he couldnt see no damaged was even taken off, he acted like he wasnt even shot, then also close range its almost impossible to kill with the springfield or mouser but u can with the smgs, but then the smgs are bad at long rnage so its sorta evened out, but i dont know thats jus my opinion, PeacE

Yeah, I lost my account or some of my account when the server went down last week. Badscript was kind enough to save the
post counts, usernames and other little things for those of us who were unlucky enough to post at the same time that the server went down. I'll get my "Private" changed to something else soon.

Yeh that smg is also pissing me off. I go against guys with hand guns and lose. We are like 3 feet apart. Or I sneak upon a sniper and start shooting him in the back and he ends up killing me. Shit its like even 2 freakin bullets should have caused him enough damge so that he don't turn around and aim at me. i unloaded about 20 bullets at close range and he lived. Even if %25 of the bullets hit, thats 5 bullets. Come on that is bad. 5 bullets and you live. Sure I've heard some war stories about guys with several bullets in them going on to kill a few Charlies afterwards before they dropped, but thats far and in between. Just look at some real WW1 and WW2 war footage, of foot soldiers shooting it out, and you see people dropping with a few bullets. I expected more realism from MOH.

I'll try that burst idea. But I have stood behind my buddy playing the game once and I was purely focused on his crosshair as he when into a gun fight at close range with a luger guy. My fried had a SMG and lost. His aim was on most of the time and he emptied his clip. I see this same crap in RTCW. one of my other friends, who is a heavy Q3 player says he sees the same thing in Q3 games. He says its due to lag. He says I am shooting at were the person was like half second ago so I am not actually hitting him even though it looks that way from my point of view. He says thats why in games with lag he used explosive weapons with large radius of damage, that way he still causes damage to the enemy, even though they are about half a second away.

killa have u ever played counter-strike?? cause all the guns have recoil and after like the thrid shot the bullets are every where, what i find is good is 3 shots wait a second, move back, so that yur not open, then 3 more shot or be ricky 3 shots, wait like half a second, 3 more shots and the bullets stay almost together, but the further u are away the less accurate it is, oh yeah at close range dojnt use buurst, what i kinda do with the gun is not aim wiht the cross hair but aim wiht the bullets, might not make much sense but u shooot like in a motion like diagonally, uh hard to explain, anyone that knows how to shoot rapidly with the para m249 might know what im tlakin about its about the same, sorry for that bit of a confusion but if u think about it , it might make sense, peace
