im going to get a new 80gb hard drive and i would like to know what brand do u guys think is better maxtor or western digital? thanks to all those who reply.

Western Digital, by far the best. Then Seagate, then IBM. Maxtor is 4th. It's just cheaper thats why its advertised so much.

Sheesh, if you want to get real technicial, get a SCSI card, and get a Seagate Barracuda 3 SCSI. Oh BTW, the 40GB and card will only cost, ohh. . .$600!

And we aren't buying memory, we're buying a hard drive.
Mine was 30GB, had to upgrade to 80. I need the storage for my DBZ, DBGT, South Park, and Movie rips. I got 55GB of movies on my PC.
