spearhead demo connection problem

can anyone tell me why when I start up spearhead demo and guys start coming in they get stuck in spectator mode and can't even choose teams or weapons any help will be greatly appreciated

I've never had this issue. Are you hosting your own server? Are you able to choose team/weapons?

Sorry Joe that I wasn't very clear but yes I'm hosting a game of 8 people and the first person coming in was my nephew and he joined in but he was stuck in spectator. He couldn't choose the team or weapon. but I rebooted and everything went back to normal. So thanks for your response and I'll try to be clearer from hear on out
