I got this new mouse for a Christmas present and can't get Mohaa to recognize the side buttons. I know this mouse just came out but has anyone had any success getting these buttons to work. My old microsoft intelimouse explorer had an option to assign the buttons to a keystroke. To get MOHAA to recognize these I had to assign the side buttons to = and / and it worked. This new Logitech doesnt give you the option to assign the buttons to a keystroke. Needless to say I've had no success assigning the buttons to any of the options it gives me. Any suggestions besides going back to my old mouse. It's a shame if this doesn't work because this is the fastest most responsive optical they have came out with yet.
Thanks for trying to help me out Joe but I checked those post and I still can't get these buttons to be recognized by mohaa. I downloaded the 9.7 drivers and tried everything I could think of. If anyone has got these buttons to work please help me out or I guess I'm going to take this piece of shit back. It's an awesome mouse but worthless if I can't assign these keys to mohaa. Thanks again.
If you view the support pages for the latest Logitech Mouse Software.. It states that the ability to assign keys was removed or something like that. That's why I returned that mouse.. That and the fact the middle mouse button didn't work right either. It would try to do auto scroll in MOH instead of registering as MOUSE3
A good mouse is worth jack without good software and support.
Let me know when Logitech fixes there Mouseware software nStuff.
Is their a way to bind the keys in the console for these buttons to work? If there is, does anyone know the commands for this. I really hate to have to return this mouse. I went back to my microsoft intellimouse after this for a couple of days and believe me it's like night and day.
In my mouse configuration, I simply set each button to register a keystroke matching the keyboard button for the function I wanted. For example, in the game settings, I assigned the 'K' key to crouch and the 'L' key to walk/run toggle. Then I assigned one mouse button to register a 'K' and the other button to register an 'L'.
There's probably an easier way, but that works for me.
That won't work with this mouse. In the options for what you can assign the buttons to do, there is no option to assign these to key strokes. My microsoft mouse does this. I have tried to assign them to different functions i.e. enter, del ect. Nothing has worked. Mohaa says unknown key.
Explorer 3? Hell no.. It's WAY to fricken lite.. It's way to slippery. Tracking can be sketchy. And one of the side buttons is placed so far to the front of the mouse that you can not reach it with the thumb it's intended for.
Your dead on with that analysis of the front button. I don't use it for that reason. I didn't realize how slow the explorer 3 was until I used the Logitech for a week then went back to it. I ended up sending the Logitech back. It was the nicest mouse I have used but it was useless without the side buttons working with AA.
i had trouble sortin it out i had that exact same mouse 4 chrismas as well...i got it sorted, started playin with it but just didn't get on with it...its 2 heavy 4 gaming i find.
