Posting pics, how?

Hope I'm in the proper place to ask, can anyone tell me how to post a pic thats on my HD? I see people do it alot.

1. Find a site to host it on.

2. Use BBCode like this to attach an image :

[img]site%20URL%20here[/img]

so, if the address of the picture was "http://www.pictureland.com/mypicture.jpg" then you would put :

[img]"http://www.pictureland.com/mypicture.jpg"[/img]

(dont use the quotes. i just used them to show u the BBCode)

thats all there is to it. good luck.

Ah, thx dude. So I would upload it to...say...Dodstudios.net and do it the way you said in the reply feild and it should show up in only the thread Im replying in right?

Do you HAVE to have a hosting service? Can you use Geocities or angelfire? Or do any of you guys provide hosting? I don't wanna make a new account just for 2 pics on this account.

Yes, you can host it at that site, then use that URL and post that BBCode in a Reply to have the image only in that one post, or if you want that as your sig, you goto edit your profile and add that BBCode in your signature area.

Thirteen :

Unfortunately, Geocities|Angelfire and sites like that dont allow direct linking. So the image wouldnt show up. You can try http://www.tribes-hosting.com . thats where i am hosting mine.

Thanks a lot Powell! Now I just need to make a sig or have a sig made for me. If anyone out there has a copy of photoshop I can *cough* "borrow" *cough* I would like that seeing as paint prolly wouldn't be the best editor for a sig.

I have both Photoshop 7.0 and DreamSuite 2.0. I made the sig I am using now. If you want me to, I can hook you up with one. Just send me a PM with the details and I will get right on it.
