Anyone else having this problem???!!! -

Just started happening last night. I will be playing MOHSP, any server, and after say, 20 minutes of play, the screen blanks out. The only option is a cold boot. This is starting to piss me off!!!
Anyone have this problem. I've seen posts about freezing, but this doesn't seem the same. The whole system seems to shut down.
And before you ask:
Athlon 800 (clockin' in @ 807mhz)
640 meg
ATI Radeon 7500 @ 64meg
Running XP Pro
I'm going to get rid of some mods, but I don't think I have anything new.

Sounds like you may be overheating. Are you overclocking or do you have built up dust on your heatsinks? Make sure you have adaquete airflow.

I agree. An uninterruped freeze during gameplay continously might mean overheating. Check to make sure the fan on the video card or processor didn't short out / get unplugged.

All fans are okay. Video fan working great, CPU okay...power supply. I even turned my chasis fan in to blow instead of suck. I don't think its a heat issue. I have my office in my basement, so its pretty cool down here.
I'm thinking it more of a SP thing? I might just reinstall SP.

Before you do that, try running your pc with the case off. If it still crashes, you can elimitate the overheating possibility.
BTW - you want your case fan blowing out to get rid of the hot air, you should have intake vents all over your case. I have two case fans, one blowing in on the front of the case and one blowing out by the processor.

okay, noticed something. If its the stock SP maps, the screen freezes with the a screen image. If I am playing a mod map (Mob Clan), I get the blank screen freeze.
I'm going to try playing my GTA3, see if it freezes up as well, if it does then its my card or overheating. If not, its SP. Seeing as there are a few posts out there with this issue, I'm thinking its a Community thing (hack, bug..etc) Something may be up????

Good Idea. And as pest said, you want ALL air traveling in one direction, meaning that any front fans should be blowing in, and any rear fans (excluding PCI cooling fans) should be blowing out.
