do any of you guys ever make these things out of .avi files youve dled ? I got a wick copy of the waterboy and i wanna make a cd thatll be playable in my dvd player. I went to vcdhelp and follow one of the guides on converting / burning and ended up with a file that was something like 4gigs... now how in the hell am i gonna fit that on to a cd. i ve dled a couple of these things that played in my dvd and they were on 2 disks. ? ? ? ? anyone ? ?

Sounds like you need to convert the AVI to MPEG format.

Judas you noob.

You downloaded a Divx encoded movie that is meant to be played on the PC. You can convert it to Mpeg, but then you have to rip the sound as well and re-sample it per MPEG standards. It will take a while. You also have to compress it so it fits on 1 or 2 cd's, and then cut the movie in half to fit it. TMPGEnc does it all.

This isn't REALLY considered warez or anything like that, even tho you mentioned you have a dloaded waterboy. oOo:

Anyways, there's more and more proggies out today that will make these methods as easy as 1 touch of a button. I used to have to use 6 programs to rip a DVD and make it into a new one!
