someone told some time ago that it was possible to have 1.0 and 1.11 installed at the same time, just by installing the second with some permission on win2k or xp

You mean have the game installed twice on your PC? One a 1.0 version, the other a 1.1 version?

And the point of doing this is? That would be utterly stupid.

You'de probably need a PC with 2 Operating Systems, as the versions work on your registry also. I dun't even know if this could be done with 2 OS's on 1 PC.

I assume he might wanb to have the 1.0 version for using some older cheats for the SP campaign as there's many that utilise the bugs in 1.0. I can't come up with any other good explanation. Maybe he just wants to see the differencies, but that sounds quite stupid too.

Back to the question. I myself have two different versions of MoH:AA under the same OS, on the same PC. The one is my usual MoH:AA with custom maps, EZRcon and some other custom stuff (e.g. no title screens PK3), while my pure version of 1,11 only has what you get straight out of the box with the 1.11 patch, plus honesty.cfg. Very handy for daily playing and match use (especially Pandora), as you don't have to worry about moving away mods for matches, which is waste of time and stupid. It takes some extra HDD space, but works well.

just install the full version in 2 different directories. Thus you will have two different short cuts pointing towards the 2 different setups

if your looking to host two games, then just click on the dedicated server .exe again. you will launch a second dedicated server with a port increased by one.

Right but Rude, the patch is registered through the registry. So, if you have 1.0, then install again (Which I don't even know the CD will let you do) and update that one to 1.1, it changes the reg keys for the 1st install.

its actually can, especially if you have a switch and 2 hard drives, or one big hard drive that is petitioned, you just copyy the contents of 1 (minus MOHAA) then install it on both and update 1, that way you just switch the master drive in dos, and play the other, its much cheaper that buying another pc and another Operating system

Your only applying the patch to the default dir.

Someone had done this b4 and it worked. the only way is to try and see if it works.

Please let us know how you make out.
