Well i just got a guitar today and want to learn some songs but I have no idea how to read music, is there a site or video that would teach me?

well, i did a little research for ya coz i felt i wanted to help...

take a look at..

..which basically explains everything ya need to know..

also i am setting up a guitar/music forum...

For some reason I don't understand the tabs. What do the numbers stand for?

o would be a open e note the 2 would be the 2nd freet of the a string. the 3 would be the 3rd freet of the a string. a frett is the silver bars that go across the neck. so just look at what strings its on and count the fretts for the number. hope that helps. and buy a issue of guitar world it explains in detaile there good luck

I undertsand a little but its much easier for me just to see the chords and to play them out in my heard or see them written in this style of format

A -3 times
C-2 times
g-5 times

Maybe im just wierd

go to http://www.tabcrawler.com look up the lessons they have there. they also have like a million tabs. Also try http://www.olga.net and http://www.punkhardcore.com
