Great job on the flamethrower man, but I have a question. I edited the flamethrower file so it takes place of the shotgun instead of the rocket launcher, which makes more sense considering the shotgun is the same for allies and axis as is the flamethrower, and every thing works fine. When I select shotgun, I get the flamethrower. And, it works fine when I create a game, but when I join a game and people are using the shotgun it makes an explosion and the game freezes and closes down. Now I know it doesn't do this when it takes place of the rocketlauncher. Do you have any idea why it is doing this and how I could fix this problem? Or if I wouldn't be able to do it because it requires a good bit of modding, could you reissue the flamethrower taking place of the shotgun?

No you don't as long as you don't use it it's fine. What I mean is when you are using an mp40 or something but other people are using shotguns. The people using the shotgun will fire and it will freeze. Now, it doesn't do that when it replaces the rocketlauncher. You can still use an mp40 and not have to worry about people using rocket launchers because the game doesn't freeze. I want to know why it freezes when it replaces the shotgun.

If you simply renamed the .tiki file to shotgun.tik, then this shouldn't be happening. If the server dosen't have it, it shouldn't crash either.

I know like I said I replaced all instances of bazooka with shotgun, and the only file in the model folder is the shotgun.tik. Everything works just as it should. But, it still crashes when I go into another server besides my own. Any thoughts?

It's hard to tell because the game just freezes but it looks like to me that the shotgun that looks like a flamethrower tries to fire a rocket, and that's why it freezes. But, like I said I replaced all instances of bazooka with shotgun, so there shouldn't be a problem.

actually, the only name you need to change is the .tiki file name. rename to shotgun and run it like that. don't edit anything inside the .tiki file itself.

Ok I did what you said and it works fine, but now it freezes when you try to reload the shotgun. What do you think?

It must have something to do with the animations in the .tik file. It wouldn't freeze unless an animation is Fubar. Email me the .tik file and I'll have a look at it. [email:08f10]MikePowell1944@aol.com[/email:08f10]
