Just had a question for all of you Somalia/BHD guys, did the Ranger/Delta guys really run from when the UN was supposed to take them at the end of the movie to the Stadium? If it did, how far was the run? Just trying to put things into perspective.

I don't want to read the book, and I have the movie, but I don't know if I want to trust the movie. I don't even know if they say how far they ran in the movie.

according to the History Channel they did have to run because the rescue team could only scrounge up enough vehicles for the wounded (which there were quite a few of)

The book was unbelievablem sometimes lal the jumping around gets confusing but youll get used to it. It also has that Henry IV (or V quote about brotherhood during war, which probably made more sense to me than any other thing I've ever read in my entire life) If you want it ill type it out for you

Yeah, they did run all the way back. For a bit of perspective, I've taken a screen of a map that I play online with a few friends. The map isn't the quality you tech boys might appreciate, but it is to scale.

The Map was developed by a long-standing member of the TacOps community, TacOps being the game in question here. "A Game of Modern Tactical Warfare" If any of you are familiar with it, or interested, I'm always open for a new challenger.

The first pic is a map of the city proper, the second a legend for the numbered locations.

The run was little over a mile.

Oh, and I read the book and I don't remember them saying they jacked off during combat. I remember the book saying they jacked off in unusual places, like you guys mentioned. But I never heard of them jacking off during a firefight, lol.
