TORONTO -- The Ontario government is offering the services of two water-bombers to help fight out-of-control wildfires in southern California.
Ontario's Ministry of Natural Resources says it has not received an official request for help from California.
However, the state has informally asked the Canadian Inter-Agency Forest Fire Centre in Winnipeg if there are any water-bombers available.
A spokesman for the ministry said two Ontario water-bombers could be in California by Saturday if a formal request for help came in later Wednesday.
"We also have to ensure we have the crews and the engineers to go along with it,'' said Bob Thomas.
At least 16 people have been killed in the California fires, and officials fear that number will rise as workers search through the ashes of hundreds of homes.
More people were expected to be evacuated from their homes on Wednesday.

I posted this because whenever anyone posts anything about the Canadian Army/Government lately, we get ganged up on by the other Members of this forum. I'd like to show the American users that we help you guys out when you need it, and I think the Country vs. Country thing needs to stop. It's getting very old. If you don't like Canada, I don't care. Just shut up about it. I don't need to hear it.
I've made my point, so this thread can be locked now.
