I got an Interview tomorrow -

any tips on what to do and what not to do?? Im personally just nervous about my sweating. I sweat sometimes when i get nervous which i hate but ive come to learn that if i take deep breathes that helps me out alot. Its at Gamestop so i dont think of it as a "proffesional" interview. 1 problem though, i forgot which position i applied for so if you guys could give me a rundown of which positions are avaiable at video game stores that would be help me alot
thanx

go to gamestop.com and see what positions they have available. they have cashier, stock clerk, store manager etc. how can you have forgotten about that one? anyways, tell them you work well with others, you love games, you subscribe to several video game magazines, you stay ontop of updates, new releases and stuff like that. tell them you visit gaming forums all the time so you have a variety of opinions you have to offer on any particular game. they want experience ok? dont let them think you are some chooch who plays mario brothers or mortal kombat all day long. tell them you have played every system that is out now. ps2, xbox, game cube, n64 etc. the more the better. if you have cashiers experience, let them know right away. the most important qualities have nothing to do with games though. tell them you are a team player, you learn fast, and you seek to learn more so that you become a more valuable asset to the company. dont let them know that you like to steal shit, you sleep/eat on shift, and that you sexually harass customers and co workers, thats a no no. remember to wear pants to your interview also, dont be a lionel hutz when he forgot to wear pants to court. good luck.

I remember I had an interview for the Navy, I thought it was just going to be an interview with a Lt but I walked in there and there was a Professor, Commander and the damn Lt! They were wearing their flashy uniforms w/ all the gold stripes. I almost pissed my pants when I saw them. ed: They sat me down and stared at me whilst asking questions and sh&t for about an hour ranging from nautical stuff to what do I like doing for hobbies and if I get annoyed with people easily. Trust me, a little interview for a part time job at game is nada.
Just talk properly, don't say yeah etc, don't be afraid about pausing to think about what you are going to say. Better to have an awkward silence than to say something stupid. Wear a suit, think about all the thing's you've done and what you can do for the job. Have great respect for the interviewer, call him Sir and shake his hand before and after the interview.
If all else fails they are just peasants anyway quickshot:

When I went for my interview for the Army, I saowed up a 1pm I believe and waited for about half an hour for the guy to come and get me for the interview. I ask someone and they go and get him and hes a captain. He looks pissed off and says "Why wern't you here at 11?" "Uh...they told me to be here at 1". Anyway there was some big screw up, but they did tell me 1. I even wrote it down on my callendar when I took the phone call. Anyway, the Captain interviewed me at that time, thankfully, but it was a bad start to my Army career.
So don't be late. Even though I wasn't at fault, the Captain wasn't going to concede that it was his fault, so I guess it becomes my fault because shit rolls downhill.

mine was so easy, it was just 2 questions about if i would be able to get to work on time & how i would be getting there & then the rest was him telling me what to do.
