Whats wrong with getting pi££ed? -

I have a group of friends and every weekend we go out and get completely rat azzed down the pub or by playing a game called centurion. We aren't alcoholics, at least, I don't think so, I know I'm not.
Anyways, I have another bunch of friends who used to hang with us but they've got a thing against drinking, one has recently changed to that side after his gf got mad for him being drunk. What the hell is wrong with getting pissed at the weekend? We're teenagers, it's not like we're doing drugs or smoking crack or anything wtf!? I think getting drunk is great fun, we do some totally crazy and whaky things, we also take videos & have a website dedicated to all the crap we do when pi$$ed.
Does anyone else get pissed or do you think it's a bad thing?

Pretty much EVERY teenager down here gets horsed. It's unquestionable.
As far as I'm concerned there is absolutely nothing wrong with it, so long as you can handle your liquor - and you aren't an angry drunk.

When I was 16 and in High School there used to be these two crack heads who sat behind me. The would always talk about their weekend and they were always out getting pissed. It seemed strange to me that in order to have a good time they needed to get pissed. Then something happened. I turned 17 and getting pissed was the cool thing to do. It was strange. Now pretty much every weekend involves drinking in some form or another. Be it at one of my buddies houses, at a bar or pub, or at a hockey game or movie theatre. I'm not an alcoholic, but its possible that some of my friends are. I think that this is just a way of life. I think everyone has done it. When its time to get a career, maybe its time to cut back a bit and be responsible, but I have no problems with driking as long as you don't kill me while driving drunk and you know what your limits are and don't go crazy.

You're asking the wrong fella here...heh heh.
Of course there's nothing wrong with getting pissed out of your tree so long as you:
1) Don't let it interfere with your day-to-day life and relationships with friends and family
2) Don't fucking drive while drunk
3) Don't drink so much that you need your stomach pumped
You'd be hard pressed to drink more than my friends and I did during high school. Having said that, none of us developed a dependence on alcohol, nor did we do anything monumentally stupid or dangerous. Go to a friend's house, get fucking whapped out, and get a cab home.

I don't drive, my only problem if I have a drink is trying to cycle back to my house but I usually manage that. When we drink we get comletely trashed, not just 3 or 4 cans of beer for the night, it's 3 or 4 in one hour...

WTF!!!!!!!!!! Your the perfect example of why people in this world get killed by drunk drivers every weekend. You sounded so damn childish in your post above that i just wanted to come personally to your house and knock you punk ass in the face one good time and just leave with the door wide open. annoy:

I pull out the jack daniels gobble down a bottle then i beat my wife. I also enjoy hitting my kids mullets and large clunky pick up trucks.

i really shouldnt be talking being that im not that old, but i do have an opinion on drinking. im not against drinking at all, by all means go get piss drunk, i dont care. i do agree with zoner's rules and i think they're pretty important. personally, i dont drink just cuz i dont want to, not cuz im afraid to do it. i'll eventually drink when im ready to or i want to, but i dont see it to be a neccessity at this time. what pisses me off is the younger grade girls drinking. im still in highschool and the freshmen girls always drink just cuz they think its cool. all i hear in the hallways is "i got so wasted on saturday!" "oh i cant wait for tomorrow, im gonna get so piss drunk"...it really pisses me off. drink if you want, just dont think you're cool just cuz you drink...i have plenty of fun listening to music and playing my guitar, i dont have to hurt my body doing that and im living a pretty damn good life, and i couldnt be any more happy with my girlfriend....yea...i talk too much but thats my thoughts....now i'll prepare to be bashed...
