Well, brushed metal is easy. Take some gray area, add a bunch of noise (50-100 or so), then motion blur in the direction you want. Not too much, though. Just enough to get the effect you want, without it coming out like lines.

Thats what i use but it looks cartoonish i want it to look like mohaa's metal door kinda

make new layer.. make your design in grey .. double click layer.. use bevel.
