It will never be as good as band of brothers, no other historical writter compares to stephen ambrose, the guy wrote the best books on american history and told the story of americans like no one else could. It's ashame he died last year.

European Theatre (ETO) - Against Germany and Italy
Pacific Theatre (PTO) - Against Japan (Battle of Midway, Coral Sea, Iwo Jima, many others)

The Pacific Theatre of Operations was mainly Naval and Aerial battles against the Empire of Japan. There were, of course, many land engagements (Iwo Jima, Guadalcanal, etc...) but this was mainly a battleground in the Pacific Ocean, hence the name (PACIFIC Ocean, THEATER meaing a large region of conflict). While many countries participated in the ETO, the PTO was mainly an American effort.

Thanks.

I thought it as some kind of special movie theater, like IMAX or a ride at disney land.

This man should be hunted down and killed. I offer a $3.00 reward for his head on a plate.

YAY I was pissed. I had hbo for like 3 years for free then they found out we were getting it and shut it off right before BOB started. We got it back at a cost after BOB finished. So Id love to see some good ww2 vids from SS.
