way to go fucknuts. I was more surprised to hear this part:

"...comes less than two years after the service's $11 billion Crusader artillery project was dropped after $2 billion had been spent. "

I saw a program about the crusader on the history channel and that toy was awesome. It could fire 9 shots or so consecutively and time the rounds to hit a single target at once. Personally I think they should get rid of that piece of shit Osprey. That fucking contraption has killed more Marines in Afghanistan than Osama and his band of talitubbies.

this is one of the reasons I said I am suspicious of my own government in that other thread,
fuckwits spend money to get the thing done and then cancel it.

It happens in every govt. Not just the states.

It's a sunk cost guys. Any accountants out there?

Governments need to decide whether going on with the project is benificial regardless of how much money has been spent. 1 dollar or 100 billion dollars, it doens't matter.

Anyway, the point is it's not "wasted" money. Would you rather them spend the rest of the money for the program and thn the hellicoptors sit in storage forever? If you nip it in the butt now, you're actually saving money.

The ideal situation would have been to figure out that the program was shit from teh beginning before any money went into it, but that hardly ever happens.

God I hate accounting.
