Default The deep end to George Lucas- "Deeper you say??" - 05-20-2004, 01:04 PM

That's right Star Wars fans, now not only has old George officially stepped off the deep end at least a dozen times, I think it's safe to say that he is finally ready for the nuthouse.

In recent rumors around the web, it has been whispered that George has added a young Anakin into the final scene of Return of the Jedi for the upcoming DVD release. Well, it doesn't get any more official then this, unless of course it's homemade.

Now, not only will Luke be looking at a father who is even younger then himself, Yoda and Alec Guinness have to wonder why they must suffer through eternity as old decrepit Jedi while Anakin gets to remain young and (arguably good looking). Not only that, but wasn't he the one that fucked up and got all of those Jedi killed?

Not to add any more to this ridiculous franchise, because who really cares anymore. But apparently, the final battle of Episode 3 will take place on two surfboards, between Anakin and Obi Wan, battling out on lava while riding the waves.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the definitive example of how to go crazy in Hollywood.

Coming from inside sources, it's looking to be genuine. AICN wouldn't post it if they weren't at least somewhat sure it was real.

That's just fucking stupid....

Lucas needs to be shot to keep him from ruining his own movies.

I heard the same thing from a friend who works in San Rafael. He wants to edit it and include new scenes, making it to have Anakin look like Hayden Christianson. He has clearly gone mad.

You mean the same AICN that posted the picture of an older "BEN KONOBI" that was supposed to be Ewan in "makeup" but was photochopped from here to kingdom come? The same AICN that believed the title was "The Creeping Menace"? The same AICN that creamed its pants when it got a "lifted" copy of AOTC, but poo-pooed on users who grabbed the "lifted" copy of THE HULK? The same AICN that REFUSED any PUNISHER advertising (but was more than happy to slap JOHNSON FAMILY VACATION and TEXAS CHAINSAW - two movies the fat man hated - up on their site)? The same AICN that geeked out over Stallones role in SPY KIDS 3 because Fatty was invited to the set (his FRIENDS set) of the movie, and Stallone knew a line from a fucking comic book? The same AICN that threw the first "batmobile" picture on their site to beat the other sites, and then pulled the "we knew it was fake but we wanted to post it anyway line". The same AICN. . .

I'm just using the picture from AICN, I could care less about what they say. Go to theforce.net's spoiler forums, and various other forums and the picture is being confirmed as authentic.

Who's confirmed it. All I've seen over the past couple of days are fanboys whove already invested waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much in the Star Wars "myth" that its become some symbiotic indirect extension of their lives, getting their panties in a twist because the OWNER of the franchise is making some alterations to their "beloved" classics. ESB was the ONLY fucking classic. Every other one was "ok" at best. But thats beside the point - shit like this is self fulfilling negative prophecy that fans use to "prove" that Lucas doesnt know what hes doing with his franchise anymore - fans dont want the films to succeed and cant have the films to succeed or what else would they talk about.

Until Lucas comes out and says - Yup were sliding Hayden in to make the transition less jarring for future generations cause you guys have this shit memorized scene for scene anyway and dont really need dvds - then the picture is a fake.

Doubtful. Since THAT battle is supposed to be the one that "changes" our young Anakin, doesnt make sense for it to be the "final" one. And the term "surfboard" is used derisively, just like folks who called Mauls speeder the Sith-Cycle - when in fact mauls bike was pretty badass.
