Downloading CD Drivers? -
07-09-2004, 12:40 PM
CD Drivers.
Okay, about a year ago my brother accidently deleted the cd drivers. He did this by deleting easy CD creator, who the hell would know the drivers are in there. And we didn't find out until like a month later, we never used the drives.
Long story short is there a way I can download drivers for my computer?
there onloy markings on the dvd drive (on the outside) says
"DVD ROM"
on the outside of the cdrw drive (it's a 32x12x40x) says:
"Compact disc rewritable high speed"
It's on a windows XP computer, about 2 years old...VPR martrix computer.
Any way to solve my problem would be appreciative (without buying new hardware, heh).
Thanks

shouldnt matter..most of them just use a windows driver so right click my computer and go to properties, select hardware...and scan for new hardware...should pick them up and install neccesary drivers

we've tried all that nyck. Plain and simple my computer has no fucking idea these drives are here. We've tried the unplug replug shit.. yeah.
Maybe we'll open up the case again and see if we can find the manufactuer info.
And my dvd rom does need drivers. I go to my computer and no drives are there other than floppy and my hard drive.

but you cant mount it because he cant get his dvd/cd rom to work without the drivers, aka the dvds/cds are as good as beer mats.
