ok i used to know how to do this on 98 and me but i never bothered to learn how to do this on xp, how do u configure your start up items?

i started messing with msconfig files, unchecked some boxes and then restarted my computer...

now the computer is useless and will not detect any type of video card/drviers. i have even reformatted 3 times.

EDIT: this is on an older win98 OS computer that i own.

yea well i figured unchecking the boxes labeled "{}{}[][][][].exe and ashfdhasdtr.dll were useless. something else musta happened...

you can get rid of shit you dont wanna run at startup by running regedit and searching for runonce. once it finds a match also check the folders above and below it , run, and runservices, to see if there is anything you can remove in those .
