Just take the .pk3 file from the sniper mod out of your main directory (create a subdirectory called "Mods" and stick in there). When you want to use it again, just move it back to your main directory.

Well, shame on me. I guess I should read your whole post next time, since you said you'd already removed the file. What are the contents of your /main directory? In particular, what are the file names, sizes and dates for all the pk3 files in your main dir?

Why would you get that patch anyway? Stop being a bitch and learn how to snipe or learn how to defeat snipers instead of being a bitch.

P.S. If all else fails, reinstall the game

Are any of the dates for your pk3 files later than 12/11/01? If you've installed the patch, pak6 will probably be the date of your install (01/21/02 or later).

If any of the dates are later than 12/11, the pak file may be corrupted. If all else fails, reinstall the game (copy your saved games first and don't open them until you've re-installed the patch, if you have the patch installed now). Good luck.
