Michigan reprezent fool cool:
I know a guy that goes there... it way fucken north... like way north. You'd be at the top of the U.P., which means you'd be further North than most of the canucks that post here. At least I'm assuming that; if you drew a straight line out from marquette, you'd be a little bit north of Ottawa Ont. Anyway, in addition to being way the fuck north, you're surrounded on both sides by great lakes, which gives lake effect snow a whole new meaning. The U.P. is pretty much BFE; its really beautiful land though. Not sure if you are looking for an urban or college-town type of a place to go to school. Anyway, good luck.

there we go some info I can use. I dont really care what type of setting it is as long as its not L.A. too many problems there. AS of right now I believe I am further north than like 99% of the people who post here(Northern Vermont 30 min from canada). Do you know anything about the school? Does your friend like it, or shit like that? AS for snow, I dont give a shit I wont have to shovel it. and Ill be home or x-mas and such anyways.
*edit* now that I look at it I am atually further south than northern michigan, Ill be damned. Fuckers.

the guy I know that goes there is more of an acquaintance than friend. He's kind of a nutjob... you can imagine it'd be pretty fucking cold there and all he packed was shorts and t-shirts. stupid:
Anyway, from what I hear, its a pretty small student body. There won't be much in the way of extra-curricular activities going on. But, the good side is, you'll probably make a lot of friends and be pretty close with them since you'll be around the same people quite a bit. Someone at work went to either MI-Tech or Northern... I can't remember off the top of my head. I'll have to ask him tomorrow. Either way I'm pretty sure MI-Tech is in the U.P..
When I said it was in BFE, I meant it. Its totally wilderness out there dude. I couldn't handle it. Probably because I'm afraid of animals. Good luck with everything.
