ok I downloaded a movie I want to be able to watch on my dvd player, So I go to burn it as a video CD and even though its 700mb it says its way to big once its encoded. How can I go about just spliting the movie in 1/2? so I can just burn it on 2 CD's
you cant play a movie in your dvd player unless your burning it to a dvd. you need a dvd-r and not a cd-r. you also need a dvd burner. regular single layered dvds can hold 4.7gb of info

DO NOT BURN THE FILE. use the copy cd burn methiod and burn the image of the movie onto disc directly.(the virtaul dirve you mounted the image on burn it via copy cd) Even though it is larger then 700 mb the encoding in a vcd is different, so basicly you get up to 781mb per disc of vcd footage on a 700mb disc. If you just downloaded a mpeg 2 file... well then you are going to have to split the file, which is a bitch to learn.
