Is there a way to clean the scroll wheel? I can feel it sticking a whole lot. I pressed down on it hard and spun it and I saw actual residue on the wheel. oOo:
I'm using the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer mouse and I don't see any screws of any sort to take it apart. I'm too afraid to try to snap it apart, especially with my luck.
I noticed a small bit of crud on mine, so I picked at it with my nail and wow oh wow I ended up pulling out this huge piece of hairy smelly crud made up of god knows what. Dirt, skin and hair, mostly. The scroll wheel was noisy after that, but worked great. It has now gotten a little quieter, maybe there's more dirt in there. eek:
If you would run your finger over the lables on the bottem of the mouse you'll find the screw holes. You will have to push your phillips head (#1) screwdriver through the lable to remove the screws. Say bye to the warrenty.
