Default Does eating bread expand your stomach? - 12-02-2004, 06:27 AM

over the past year at working at my job, ive eaten a fair amount of bread/buns there everytime I work, all kinds of bread and buns, you name it. now I was wondering if that expands your stomach, cuz Ive noticed myself eating ALOT more and getting hungry faster I even eat when Im not that hungry too. Im eating constantly, but I still manange to maintain my weight, right now I'm at 172lb.

so is the bread the cause of this?
EDIT: I should mention I work in a bakery. I dont bring a lunch. i just eat all kinds of crap there. mainly bread though.

you're eating empty carbohydrates, they make you crave more carbs when not balanced with a protein, put some meat or peanut butter on those buns and you won't crave it as much...

you crave carbs is all like bukdez said. bread isnt fattening unless you have a piece of bread in your mouth 24/7 and you add a shitload of butter on it.

i dont know about that.

white bread is not good. if you arent active enough carbs will certainly not make you lean and white bread has plenty of carbs.

"whole" wheat bread is ok to eat.

you can always google ...

they are called simple carbs. They give you nothing, and take everything. including diabetes after years. Complex carbs are what you need. aka WHOLE WHEAT bread, which contains everything. (Brown Wonderbread does not count)

(to put it easy, simple carbs dissolve alot easier/ breakdown faster so you can eat more faster. Wholer Grain bread & any type of fibre, muesli mix, will fill you for a long time./ takes longer to break down

I have no snacks here. My dad is and has been on the South Beach Diet, it's pretty good. It's cool eating beans every other day!
