Default Time out... - 02-21-2005, 12:44 PM

Hey all,

1. Does anyone know of a recent XP update that would cause time outs when I never had them before. I can't get in any server.

2. Is there a way to set the server or client to have unlimited connect time so you don't timeout?

3. If coming through a router (never needed to do this but I thought I'd ask now) what if any ports should be open to ensure connection?

Thanks!

Yeah, not saying you're not helping, but I tried that the VERY first time. I figured that was a given. Anyway, figure someone would have an idea.

Do you have the 1.11 patch installed?

Yes, I'll list what I did to try to correct...

Formatted
Installed all XP pro updates.
Installed NAV 2005.
Instlalled Adaware
Installed MOHAA...patched it up
Tried to get on...time out
Installed MOHAASP...patched it up with both patches.
Nothing.
Opened up the correct ports on my router...

Nothing! It was working fine a month ago....I made sure I installed minimal software to check to see if it was a hardware conflict.

Swapped NIC cards....
Then, swapped to my backup puter.....

I'm screaming now.

Yeah, I would be screaming too. The only thing I can say is that it might be your game... You might want to try and return it, then try installing again with the new one.
