Default 9700TX vs FX5200, I think (Dell OEM) - 03-01-2005, 04:06 PM

They are both 128MB, and they really seem to have the closest specs. On my computer that I don't have anymore, I could get around 200FPS with the Radeon. I only get about 30-60FPS with the NVidia (my dads computer). Eh... so... wtf? I want more FPS!

wierd... i thought only a 9700 pro and 9700 was it...
But anyways.... what are you asking whats the best bang for the buck?

I`d say the Nvidia GeForce 6600 GT...Faster, newer, runs DX 9 like butter...

5200 is terrible.

The 9700TX is a downclocked 9700 Pro from Dell and it would kick the shit out of a FX5200 any day.

I have a FX5200, but to tell you the truth, I couldnt tell you anything about benchmarking or framerates. It's a great card, though, have been able to play all the latest games.
