Default "out of range".....da funk? - 04-28-2005, 04:30 PM

I just installed Bf42 on my new PC and its way past the requirements for this game but when I start it the monitor turns off and says "out of range"?

Anybody know what to do?

Thats an error that come up with a couple of things, one is resolution. Run the game in safe mode and bump the res down. chances are your monitor will not support the resolution the the game thinks will serve you best. The next might be color or refresh rate, which shouldnt have anything to do with the game. But try running it in safe mode and lower the settings, mainly if not solely the res.

There should be an option when you do start > programs > EA Games. If not you can uninstall reinstall just dont let it do the configuration. Worst case scenario you buy another monitor, however in lue of that borrow an LCD or anyother hi res monitor from someone you know just so you can get in game and bump the res down
