Default .. taught in school - 04-20-2005, 10:21 PM

Why teh fuck are they always teaching about Civil Rights, such as MLK, Indians getting fucked of thar land, Asians getting asianized, and so on... Do they hope you will become a less ignorant human and assist your fellow B-L-A-C-K brother or your Mexiasian Father? I am not racist or prejudice buts it's god-fucked annoying being taught about the same thing over and over again. Why don't they just put "racism is bad" in the Pledge of Allegiance it could be before or after "In God we trust", that or replace it. oOo:

That doesn't make much sense. Give an example of someone?

As a grown man, you just made fun of a 16 year old. How does it make you feel?

I dunno, Bull Connor....

Racism is bad. Blindly following a leader is bad. After learning that over and over again you generally become a bit of a cynic towards people that might pose a threat similar to threats posed by people like Hitler, or those that preach hatred.

You should know all about how the germans were led on by charisma, etc, and how it's easy to become a part of something dangerous. So you should be a bit of a cynic now when it comes to any type of political leadership.

Racism works in a similar way. It spreads and generally who you surround yourself with will influence your ideals and morals....Learning this over and over teaches you to have an individual voice and not to just go with the flow and fall into what should be a cliche trap after learning about how bad it is year after year.

I dunno, I assume that's why we get taught this over and over again. Maybe someone else has a different view.....

The most under-rated juice ever.

I see what you mean now.

Maybe racism is a weakness that is in our genes, and maybe the "good" society is doing whatever they can to help humans evolve without that weakness. Does that make any sense? oOo:

racism is learned, for the most part. sometimes it develops through past situations and circumstances. either way, i'm sure we aren't born with it.

I concur.

Political correctness and the constant anti-racism reinforcement gets tiresome for those of us who aren't biggots in the first place.

I think a point could be argued that constantly bagering and bringing up equality will make some question whether or not the principle has a solid foundation. Just like Herr Tripe said, following blindly is bad. Some people realize and understand this and may begin to question the continuing emphasis on equality. So, maybe the continuing re-education could be bad?
