Default Good brand of hard drive - 06-01-2005, 09:09 PM

One of my two hard drives are about to kick the bucket. I'll be picking up a new one in the 160gig range but I don't know what the highest/higher quality of name brands are, so Akuma, Gervinabag, any suggestions?

Yeah western digital "caviar" editions are usually pretty good. Using one as my primrary hard drive now.

I've never had a problem with Maxtor drives, but lots of people cuss them out.

I always go Seagate unless WD or Maxtor are significantly cheaper.
