It was monthly, I made one called "Desktops: August addition". After that someone just started a new one every month. Then naturally people bitched about how we didnt need one ever month and how it should just be a sticky. Thus you have the current sticky. I prefered teh monthly approach simply because it "reminded" people to post there new stuff.
