I never heard that these schools were getting penalized by the NCAA. In my view, I disagree with the NCAA on this issue. And anyways, where will the world be without teams like the "Washington Redskins" and this logo:

This never ceases to piss the royal shit out of me. FSU is planning to sue somebody over this, and get the decision overturned. Florida State has been an education institution since what, 1860-something? Give me a fucking break. Just the thought of the cheerleaders not being able to wear the FSU logo on their faces, the band not being bale to play the traditional war chant, the mascot not being able to drive the spear into the ground, etc... FSU's postseason games just won't be the same without it IMO.

If it isn’t being used to instill hate, or bigotry then I don’t see any problem. Maybe if the name of a team was the White Power, and their symbol was a dead black man, then yes that’s hate and that is wrong, but something like the Redskins isn’t hateful.
