I really didn't do a whole lot to make that text effect. The text itself is part of an image on the website. The layer was set to the "Color Dodge" blend, duplicated, then a "blast" filter was applied to the duplicate.
S'about it, really. Experiment with the different types of layer blending (Multiply, overlay, screen, color dodge, color burn, etc).

didn't buckweed used to have a cool comic book sig with really good text? It might have been someone else, I don't know.

lol yeah it was buck, it had wolverine if i remember. just download a good comic book text and use gradiants
