I need help with a Grey Screen crash on launch of program. Just before it goes to the blue circular logo and intro movies my system hangs on the grey screen. This forces me to do a hard boot. Sometimes I get through this and can play the game for 30 min to an hour before it locks up again. I may have to do 20 hard boots to get by the grey screen lock up again before playing again. Once in the game it runs great. But then crashes eventually. I have win 98, AMD 1.4 ASUS A7V133, 128mb corsair pc133,Gainward GF3 TI200 using WHQL certified 21.83 drivers, SB Live 5.1 value. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Help would be greatly appreciated. And by the way where is the tech forum for this game so i can post in the right place?

Not a support forum, but here, in General Discussion, or even the Developers board, you might get an answer.

As for your prob. with ur comp: I dunno dude, you made sure you ran Auto-Configure before starting game the 1st time? Drivers are the newest? I dunno, besides that. What about a fresh install, then patch 1.1?

Too me it sounds like a OS problem. Are you overclocking your CPU or Vid. Card? if so bring the clock speed down a bit.

add this to your shortcut and at least you might be able to get past the grey

+set cl_playintro 0 +set ui_skip_eamovie 1 +set ui_skip_titlescreen 1 +set ui_skip_legalscreen 1

Make sure you have Anti-Aliasing turned off..and the crashing is possibly a heat problem
