ok so i think my ipod might be busted because when the batt died, i went to recharge it and nothing is happening...no charging indicator...nothing. is it busted or what? it wont even turn on when i hold the play button when its plugged into the wall.

Did you try holding down the center button (assuming you have 4th gen or later) for 10 seconds?

Also, what happens when you try to plug in into your PC using either cable or the doc? Does iTunes recognize it?

Also, if the battery is dead, plug it into the wall using the firewire cable and leave it plugged in over night (or at least for 5+ hours) and try the above steps again. This happened to me once before after I updated the firmware. I fixed it using the wall plug-in method.

Well see it was dead totally so i cant plug it into my PC because it wont charge. Its been in the wall plug and still nothing. Thank god i got the service on it, ipod video im gonna get if i cant fix this w00tt

ive had 2 ipods, my first is still going after its 3rd birthday stronger than ever and my photo ipod is looking to live forever aswell.



get the ipod updater program http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/ then plug your ipod into computer and see if anything comes up and try to restore to factory settings.

i cant even plug it to the PC nigga, it wont recognize cause its totally dead. Im not messing with software, i want an ipod video, lol.

they wont just upgrade your ipod to ipod video for free, they will probaly just replace battery.

yep. if you get the service plan and they dont stock your ipod anymore they HAVE to give you one of greater or equal value. since they dont make say 40gig reg ones you get the 60gig video.

yeah my iPod doesnt work now either, it will charge, but it cant play the songs, it will just freeze and go to the next song until it gets to the end and go back to the main menu...i want a new one, where is that number we have to call to get a new one?
