Default Giving Blood - 06-26-2006, 08:10 AM

I just got back from giving blood for the first time. I must say, it wasn't as bad as I was expecting at all. Nothing about the process bothered me at all. The prick on my finger was probably the worst part happy: Hell, you get free food afterwards.

The questions they ask beforehand are interesting. There were a bunch of questions about giving plasma/platelets/blood in England and France since 1996. I am not sure what that was about. Of course, there were questions about SARS, AIDS, drug usage, fucking dudes up the butt, and spending more than 72 hours in a jail facility happy:

I'm definitely going to keep doing this for the rest of my life. My dad has been doing since 1970 or so and gathered over 7 gallons worth of donated blood ed: When you figure you can only give 1 pint at a time with 8 weeks inbetween donations.

Do any of you guys give blood?

I have given blood, but not in years. Yeah, it's not near as bad as you make it out to be beforehand.

The only thing that creeped me out a bit was watching the bag fill up as it rocked back and forth. I couldn't watch that. oOo:

Last time I did it, they had Tim Hortons doughnuts and Sprite afterwards. rock:

It might have something to do with [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bovine_spongiform_encephalopathy:b3684]BSE.[/url:b3684]

Ive done it twice. Once in Highschool and once for my wifes cousin when he got all burned up. I have that O+ blood which anyone can use.

when I did it in Highschool My arm pushed the needle out and I bleed all down my arm for awhile. so I got lightheaded and sick.

I also got lightheaded and sick when I did it this year.

I am nein good at giving blood. I had to stay like an hour after each time.

I'm O+ and haven't done that in quite some time. I'm a bit of a hypochondriac so when they start fucking around with needles, I get anxious. oOo:

I've given blood several times. I'll never forget the first time I went and the screener was asking me all the buttsex questions at the speed of an auctioneer.

Sex with a man?
Sex in the last 6 months?
Anal sex?
Have you been to Africa in the last 6 months?
Any needles or injections?

After the first 25 questions I stopped paying attention and kept saying "No."

Is any man here daring enough to say yes to all of those questions for Jesus' sake?
