Via Gamasutra, an interview in USA Today with Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime confirms that the Wii's online component will be free to play. The outspoken Nintendo advocate says "We will offer online-enabled games that the consumers will not have to pay a subscription fee for. They'll be able to enjoy that right out of the box. The Wii console is going to be Wi-Fi enabled, so essentially, you'll be able to plug it in and go. It won't have hidden fees or costs."

if it's that cheap i might even buy one, and i don't even play consoles. i'm sure there will be a few good games for it though.

Yeah, but you'll be stuck playing Kirby and Luigi Brothers for the entire time the console even exists. The fact that all the game developers have two make, you know, "two" games to work on Ps/xbox and the nintendo isnt gonna go over well. It'll be almost exclusively Nintendo stuff.

EditL I'm talking about control schemes and all, since they have that remote.
