Yup, here i am trying to sort out all my shit before i wipe these drives clean and start fresh. It's a pain in the ass but nothing beats a nice clean install. I think this time around, i'm gonna set the drives up differently. Perhaps place all my games on my main storage drive so when i go to do this again, i can leave that drive alone. It's a pain in the ass to reinstall all the games and update them.

Besides Gerv, am i the only one who does this ?

Bud, you have no idea how organized my shit is... I think the only thing I could do better for "format" situations would be a sysprep, a pre-loaded os with apps installed ready for any new pc I put it on.

Then again, I re-do my stuff maybe once every 2 years (I'm just slick like that ) or when I get all new hardware, which will be soon. Goddamn I'm not looking forward to customizing every little inch of windows and installing those 48 programs again.

I used to reformat all the time but now I keep my computer clean with a nice array of anti-malware and spyware software, plus fragmenting and shutting down useless services.

My first computer years ago had Windows ME as it's operating system, so it was pretty routine to reformat once every two weeks lol loney: God, I hated that computer. On this new one, I've had it for maybe over a year, with Windows XP on it, and I've only had to reformat it twice.

ROFL!

Im with you on that. I had ME and i had kernel errors 20 times a day. i Literally punched and kicked that comptuer. I absolutley hated Windows ME, i had to reformat about 5 times a year with that fucking thing. XP has been a lot nicer to me than that POS OS.

The day i actually got a new PC i took a bat to the old one.....im not kidding.

I think on average I would reformat my computer about every 8 months. Until the last time I did it and it didnt want to work anymore, then I got a new computer.
