Quarterback Brett Hardin had 835 all-purpose yards for East Poinsett County in the meeting of previously winless teams.

East Poinsett County (1-6) and Hughes (0-5) were tied 66-66 at the end of regulation. Hughes scored first in overtime on a 1-yard run by Smith, but missed on a two-point conversion.
