a couple i know recently organized a Guitar Hero II night at a local bar/venue...

they set up on the stage with a projection screen and had two guitars hooked up so people could battle, there were three categories, and a second set up on a smaller tv for practice...

the two guys who ended up head to head in the hardest category had to battle it out to free bird, so just imagine two guys on stage, backs to the crowd, wailing out freebird while the sound guy does the light show and people are actually cheering them during the solos (thanks to booze), it was really funny and far less nerdy than i expected (far less nerdy than the 8-bit video game night a few months ago anyways), good times...
