Default Final Fantasy XII - 12-22-2006, 05:53 PM

Anyone have it or play it? It came out recently and its the first FF game ive played so far, and i cant put it down. I logged in about 55 hours already and theres so much shit to do, its pretty cool. Its like a mix of star wars and zelda. The in game world is pretty interesting and theres alot of places to go running around in and find some pretty tough combat. its also cool how you can interact with alot of the other NPCs. My crew are all around level 35 or so and theyre doing bounty hunt missions and exploring the world before completing the storyline (which is pretty cool too).

anyways,
discuss

ps..

i heard the battle system is a big impovement over the other series. the licensing concept is different, but i like how you can map out the path for your characters instead of following a broader, all purpose "combat" character. that part reminds of of the SWG training (forgot the name of it) career choices. Skill map? Anyways, its a pretty catch game. The beginning of the story like where you are is pretty interesting, but it kind of lags towards the middle/end like where i am - its probably cause im doing a bunch of non-storyline stuff though...

I like that they are trying new things...even though thats what they do everytime...but actually like changing the encounters...havcen't done that ever really.

anyways im happy with my purchase so far...

lol and getting used to having to buy weapons, magicks, technicks...and abuiy a license for it as well...ive yelled at the tv a couple times already to why i can't wield something.

im kind of used to the licensing part cause of SWG and it does make it different, but positive imo because if you could swing anything, you would automatically just pick the most powerful weapon and stick with it throughout the whole game. i like how the characters have different stances when holding the weapons, though, and they have different fighting styles. one thing that kind of irritates me is that i do have the license for the magic, armor, gambit, weapon, technik etc, but its not even available in the game yet until way later on, so you can technically use it - if you can ever find it.

another thing that bothers me is that the models dont change their clothes when you equip new armor, but im def happy with the game.
