iPod -
02-18-2007, 08:32 PM
Finally broke down and purchased the 8g nano. Now i gotta fuck with that shit ass iTunes software.
Wish there was an easier way to "click and drop" my MP3's in the nano.
Oh, what are some "must have" accessories? I saw a nice rugged rubber case for it that i'll get. Next would be some sort of FM transmitter so i can use it in the car.

The thing that allows you to play the music through your car. Thats it. Fuck the iPod. As soon as MS gets off its fucking ass, and releases a patch that allows the ZUNE to be used as a portable HardDrive, Im ditching mine and grabbing one of theirs. The UI is better, the software is better, and the share function has laid some serious groundwork for what next-gen mp3 players MUST have.
At this point using the iPod is like sleeping w/ the fat chick in college - you dont want to, but shit everyones gotta fuck.

Except it doesnt work with the video iPods - and if you use it, itll turn all your videos into "songs" and render them unplayable. iTunes is seriously shit - I hate it. . .constantly updating, even though I dont want it to. And I dont give a damn about gapless playback since Im not an impatient prick like that.
Haha - just cause I know the iPod is shit. . .dont mean im buying stock in Zen/Creative. . .hoo hoo. . .youre not gonna get me there Mr. Coleman.

TGB, i agree that iTunes can suck my ass hence the reason for the long holdout for getting an iPod. I'll have to give winamp a shot since the only thing you can put on the nano is music (i think) All i want is an MP3 player that can EASILY load songs......thats it !! I went with the nano over the 30g iPod because of "flash memory". Seems alot less can go wrong with the nano as opposed to having a lil' harddrive. I hope i like this $275 toy.

Ipod owns the market. If I were to get another player, i'd probably get a Zune. My brother upgraded from his iRiver (great player that last a long time with great audio quality) to the zune and it's f'in awesome.

I dont understand how you have so many problems with itunes, ive been using it for 2 years now without a problem....ever. I can easily say that i really like iTunes and how easy it is to use.
I would get a Zune, but i would defiantly wait until MS releases an updated version of it. Its pretty quirky, and at the moment i would put the iPod above it. So until MS makes a new Zune or unfucks the current one, my iPod is my mp3 player of choice. maybe in a few years i'll get a Zune or something else. I also like the ease of the iPod interface, one scroll wheel, and a middle button.

I have a zune and I love it. I recently got a program that allows me to convert DVDs to .wmv files so I can watch movies on the Zune. So far, it has worked great for me. The media software is kinda sluggish at times, but other than that I have no complaints.

ive owned two irivers, the iHP120 and currently the H10. my first iHP120 lasted about 6 months before it just stopped playing songs.. their warranty was nice though, got a new one for free. this one worked fine for about another 6 months before the main joystick-like button stopped working unless you had the perfect touch.. luckily that one got stolen soon after and i upgraded to the newer H10 which will decide to shut down randomly or freeze up even with the latest updates.. after 3 units from them which havent lasted 6 months.. my next mp3 player will likely not be with them. cool players though, the iHP120 had an optical output eek: never used it, but still cool.
