As you may (or may not) know, there is a total conversion mod coming out for the Source Engine called Insurgency. It's set for a June 2007 release (more like June 22-30). This mod had been heavily hyped ever since the announcement of its' development. I'm actually quite surprised to see it's actually going to come out, since it almost went under.

The trailer. I didn't like the trailer that much. There wasn't enough gameplay footage and the animations looked pretty bad, but they're redoing the animations right now.

Yep - the former lead developer. He says he left because RO became something he didn't want to be a part of. According to the testers the game plays out pretty differently from anything else. The testers seems to say that this game does a good job with cutting down on the sense that you're just in a clusterfucked map with random retards running around, and that you pretty much have to work as a team to be able to overtake the objective points. We'll see.
