Yo
I was just looking at the job spec stuff I'd like to do as I'm no longer working for those VISA sons o bi**es.
I'd like to get into being an administrator for some construction company, then work my way into a management position. After considering what appealed to me about the position I noticed a similarity for most manly desires.
Men, at the most basic caveman level, generally like to make stuff, destroy stuff & shag. I figure this is probably due to making= fire/shelter, destroy= hunting/killing the other moo-goo tribe, shag= taking their daughters.
For modern man it is thus:
Making stuff - creating, this could be either through messing around with cars, artwork, making music, or perhaps listening, collecting or generally having a hobby that the guy is mad about. I've noticed that this usually only applies to guys. Arkan collects model cars & stuff, Acid collects hentai or animie stuff, trippar has his rap stuff, quite a few of you are keen on photography. I notice that for girls it's different as it's rare to come across a girl who has an absolute passion for only one subject.
Destroy stuff- drinking beer & blowing shyt up, most guys like causing a bit of havoc & destruction whether that be engaging in warfare, doing it in computer games or mock warfare with paintball etc.
shag, no need for any details
Once again I notice no similarity for girls, they seem to prefer shoes, gossip & shopping, no doubt this is also due to some very basic requirement.
But yar I think what most appealed to me about this job is I actually get to be part of something constructive. When I was working for V**A all I did was sit on my azz in a fancy suit, doing spreadsheets & wondering what the PA looked like naked. I was bored out of my brain! It's no way to making a living imho.
Do you guys agree with my thesis? & Yes I have far too much time on my hands lately. Finally, what is your 'thing'? I think mine is History.

^lol
yeah being constructive is a very good feeling when its part of your job. it gives you a nice feeling of accomplishment. working outdoors is nice too because you dont get cooped up all day long in an office and you can spend alot of time with some cool dudes and not worry about cussing and making sick jokes. only thing is that theres a lack of women usually and if there is a hot chick, youre gonna have to compete with everyone else.
its worth a try though, give it a shot. youll either love it or hate it.

DEF. history. Going to all of these museums and galleries has me really interested in Art History..something I thought I could never get into; the Pierro della Francesca was perfect.
Now, come visit me in the royal borough of kensington and chelsea...I try to keep it as royal as possible, but its tough.

Good ones are Turnmills/Fabric/Venue/Ministry of Sound etc, TBH I still have to go to a lot of these, though have been to Turnmills & that was quite cool.
I have to be at High Wycombe by 2.30pm for the interview, not sure where the hell that is but it's in London somewhere I think. Some guy just emailed me about being a trainee stockbroker but I think that's prolly too good to be true. Maybe we can meet about 5/6pm at one of the Kensington/Chelsea tubes? Problem is I dunno how long my interview is, will try & get to an internets cafe to communicate. What time are you free?

Im having an absolute BLAST here in London. My class is too easy..basically I go to museums and galleries for an hour and a half and get a tour. My prof. teaches at Oxford on a guest basis; brilliant guy. All the kids Im here with are crazy..this past week I went out every night but tues. and thurs. Im heading to a pub in about 20 mins, then going to the Absolut Ice Bar, it should be alot of fun. Its fun to be a loud, obnoxious, drunk american happy:
To answer your question, I find the UK to be a much more enjoyable place...for the most part, everyone seems to be a bit more cultured then the avg person in america; except for those chav cuntz :P
