Bummed stonehenge didnt make it, I think its mystery makes it attractive, I voted that rather than the Petra, the pyramids rather than the Machu picchu and the easter island statues rather than christ the redeemer. other than that I agree with the votes

Out of those, I only agree with the Colosseum and The Great Wall. This is what should be the seven wonders:
-Great Pyramid of Giza. Come on, you can't exclude that.
-Great Wall. Fair enough.
-Temple of Tikal [url:26ea3]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tikal[/url:26ea3]
-Colosseum. Definitely.
-Terracotta Army. [url:26ea3]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomb_of_Qin_Shi_Huang[/url:26ea3]
-St, Basil's Cathedral [url:26ea3]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Basil%27s_Cathedral[/url:26ea3]
-Angkor Wat [url:26ea3]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angkor_Wat[/url:26ea3]
An extra eighth wonder would be Versailles. [url:26ea3]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palace_of_Versailles[/url:26ea3]

I think we're forgetting about the most important one.

meh, if it's something that can warrant more than 1-2 comments, it probably deserves its own thread.

pyramids are already an ancient wonder, so thats probably why it's not a new wonder.
what about the great city of persepolis as a wonder?

There's really only been three real Wonders ever IMO:
Pyramids
Colosseum
Colossus of Rhodes
Those are really the only three structures ever built that, considering the resources available to human technology at the time, make me go, "WTF??!?"

if this experience has taught me anything, its to value my posts and make more threads rather than replies
