Default X360 question. - 07-15-2007, 02:25 PM

Well I'm probally going to cave and by a new console system soon. Probally a 360 at the moment, only because the titles coming out for it are pretty fucking awesome. Anyways some small questions I have are, do the games look good , even if they're not on an HDTV or Plasma? Also, since I'm retarded with controllers, is it possibly to play most games with the mouse or keyboard add ons?

Only way to play games on the 360 with mouse and keyboard is to use that xfps adaptor, which is meant to be shit anyway. Far as im aware the games still do look good even on standard def.

I had my 360 plugged into my LCD computer monitor for awhile and it looked good, and i think you should try to get use to the controller. it does take awhile but once you master it the console becomes even more funner (is funner even a word)

i dunno know about the 360. As of right now, its the best non-gimmick system. However, some say that their x360's keep breaking down and that eventually the PS3 will take over due to it being a superior machine in the long run. But considering the price of the 360 and the games, I would go X360 as well.

You only hear of this problem because of the internet. You read a thread labeled "my 360 died" and naturally everyone whos 360s "died" is going to be bitching in there. Or if you go looking for information on 360 deaths, naturally you'll just get the horror stories. No one tends to rant on the net that there 360 is alive and well. Its not such a wide spread problem as fanboys have made it out to be, and if it does "die" theres a 3 year warrentee for repair or replacment. My 360 is 1.5 years old now and ive never had a single problem, same with my 5 friends who own them. Mine also gets left on for weeks on end because i forget and just switch the TV imput back to PC without turning it off. Get the console its games are incredible on regular TVs, but are more impressive in HD.

I have a 360 on a regular tv and the games look terrific so that shouldnt be a worry..and you just need to learn how to play with a controller, it takes time but as they said you get used to it.

The only problem you will probably run into is with written text. I have dead rising and I will be damned if I cant read some of the tiny ass text.

its only dead rising that has that problem - butters you could always get a high def out put by buying the vga adapter and putting it through your pc monitor.

Thanks for the advice sirs. I'm probally getting a 360 in the coming months so that'll be fun for COD4, Halo,etc...

It's not that I can't play with a controller, but I sometimes prefer mouse n keyboard. I tend to think I'm okay with a controller. Rocked the SOCOM onlines sometimes.

Another question I have is, how much more convienent / better is the pro package over the core? The wireless thing really doesn't bother me, but is the core package setup so it's wireless compatiable? Also, how fast can you burn through the 20gigs the core package comes with, compared to the 40 a pro pack has.

core doesnt come with a harddrive, premium comes with 20gig harddrive, and elite comes with 120gig harddrive.

unless you going to download movies, the 20gig should be fine

I was lied too then

Would you guys say overall, for the 100 bucks more, that a pro package is worth it?
