Hi 2015 and all,
I have a couple of questions/suggestions about the sound and some of the special effects in 'Allied Assault'.
It's kind of a big post i hope you guys don't mind

I'm also known as a Super Detail Maniac when it comes down to special/sound effects in movies and games. So please keep that in mind when you read everything below
Okay here we go,
The soundeffects:
From what i've heared so far, they are truly fantastic!
When that mortar hits the water right next to your landing boat, it's sounds great and very convincing.
The same thing on the beach, those mortars hitting the ground sound terrifying!!!
But there's only one, or maybe two sound effects used for those mortars hitting the beach. A little more variety, let's say three or four different mortar impact sound effects would really improve the immersion factor.
BTW, are the explosion sound effects that i can hear in the in-game demo movie straight from 'Saving Private Ryan'? Because i saw Spielberg's movie again today and i could swear that i could hear them.
Another thing i noticed during the Omaha Beach level, is that i really miss bullet impact sounds on the iron beach obstacles. In 'Saving Private Ryan' when the soldiers are hiding behind those obstacles and you can hear the bullets hitting them, i want to hear that in 'Allied Assault'!
I also saw the pre-rendered movie, and i really like it when you hear someone call out: "PREPARE FOR LANDING!!!"
I love that, it's scary as hell. I hope that something like that will be in the final game. Here's a tip, use the same speech for that
Oh, before i forget, i hope that the death screams of the soldiers are going to be different/improved in the final game. Because from what i've heared so far, it almost sounds like they like to get shot
(go to part 2 of this boring post, please)
