Hmm, good one. Since it's a mod from HL, i do believe you have to have HL installed. I could be wrong though.

yeah, you need it installed, but you dont need the CD to play it.

Not working for me. My friend burnt me HL, and I can instal dod, but can't get it to run, it's fucked.

Quze, try downloading DOD from a different site.

Maple, was the CD key hand-written? If so, try all sorts of things. For example, I had this dude give me a burnt copy of RTCW (shitty game BTW) and his handwriting was fudged. his G looked like a 6, and it took me forever to figure it out.

I have Counterstrike retail and it runs DoD...techically it's not half life.
