First you need Pakscape. It can be downloaded for free off the internet, I do not have a direct link so just do a search on yahoo and you'll find it. Pakscape allows you to explore the .pk3 files found in the MOHAA main folder. These files contain the game data: textures, models, scripts and sounds. The weapon sounds are situated in "Pak3.pk3" Now you have access to the sound files. If you need anymore help just ask biggrin:

jeez lol re-install the game. I think what you might have done was associate all pk3's with notepad.. it gives them the notepad icon but they are still pk3's .. but you said .. they wouldn't open in pakscape?

Listen up, the pak file that contains all of the sound waves is pak3. Thumper, is you have been in this folder and have only found the expolosion files, your problem is either: the files literally arent there, and you need to re-install or somehow, you've managed to turn all the sounds into hidden files, theoretically this would explain if you could still play the game and all of the sounds work fine.

My advice, just re-install it will save yourself alot of greef in the long run...
